06:08	<mziel>	hi! I'm trying to run etch and xen from its repo. Everytime i do the xm create -c xen-host i get incremented ethX in xen-host, 1st boot - eth1, 2nd - eth2 and so on. I don't have this probem on sarge

11:37	<icblenke>	I'm having problems with 3.0.4 qemu-dm dying unexpectedly randomly when "xm list" is run.
11:37	<icblenke>	I had xm list cronned to feed a list of running images to a bit of shell code that detects wether there are any "stopped" domains, so the script could then restart them.
11:38	<icblenke>	overnight, I've had to reboot "headless" HVM domains multiple times.
11:38	<icblenke>	meaning, qemu-dm had died, the domain was still twisting in the wind, and they had to be destroyed and recreated.
11:38	<icblenke>	needless to say, that cron job has been stopped, and the problem no longer occurs.
11:39	<icblenke>	the next step is to reproduce this in a dev environment and try and catch the segfault with gdb or something.
11:40	<aliguori>	icblenke: i wouldn't do that
11:40	<aliguori>	there's an outstanding bug in xen whereas if you let qemu-dm drop a core you'll hose dom0
11:41	<icblenke>	great.
11:41	<aliguori>	useful information will probably be in /var/log/xen/qemu-dm.<pid>.log
